The existence of a preprint does not automatically constitute prior journal publication.

Disclosure

Authors should disclose relevant preprint versions during submission and provide the preprint identifier or URL where appropriate.

Version relationship

Authors are responsible for clearly distinguishing the peer-reviewed journal version from earlier preprint versions.

Citation

When relevant, preprints should be cited transparently and identified as non-peer-reviewed material.
